Behind the Runway: YESUGOD at New York Fashion Week

Behind the Runway: YESUGOD at New York Fashion Week

Standing backstage before a runway show is its own kind of testimony — models in final fittings, a room full of people who've spent months building toward a few minutes, and a collection about to be seen for the first time by anyone outside the team that made it.

YESUGOD has walked at New York Fashion Week with collections that carried our full range — from streetwear staples to couture-level gowns — and the response has told us something important: the intersection of faith and fashion isn't a niche. It's a conversation a much wider audience is ready to have.

What Made It to the Runway

The Lord Is Coming Dress made its runway debut as seen on Emy Moore at NYFW '24, becoming one of the most talked-about pieces to come out of that season for us — a moment where the collection's meaning and its craftsmanship were both on full display under the same lights.

The JESUS Varsity Jacket and Savior Denim Jacket represented the label's streetwear side on the same runway, proof that a single show — and a single brand — could hold both a couture gown and an embroidered varsity jacket without either feeling out of place next to the other. That range is intentional. It reflects who actually wears YESUGOD.

From Runway to Real Life

Every piece that walks a YESUGOD show eventually makes its way into the permanent collection, restyled for everyday wear rather than staged for a 90-second walk. The Lord Is Coming Top, for instance, reimagines the runway dress into an off-shoulder top — same knit, same sculpted presence, built for a Tuesday instead of a runway.

That's the real philosophy behind our runway presence: we don't build show pieces that never see daily life. We build daily pieces good enough to survive a runway.

What's Next

We continue expanding our presence at NYFW and beyond, with pop-ups and experiences hosted in New York, London, Los Angeles, and more. Follow our events calendar to catch the next show — or the pieces that come out of it once they land in the shop.
